SUPER BOWL YEARBOOKS

For the Super Bowl, Honda wanted to celebrate the “Power of Dreams” and the importance of never giving up on them. So what better way to show a dream's potential than with nine A-list celebrity’s very own (and awkward) yearbook photos? It was a multi-faceted process using physical photos, 3D body scans, look-alikes of the celebrity's younger selves, and pre-recorded voiceovers. The results? 48 million views, 500% increase in Honda website visits, #2 on AdMeter ranking, 4,590 PR clips and 4.6 million shares and comments.

To tease the campaign, we had Steve Carell dispel his infinite wisdom on social media.

Celebs from the spot and influencers posted #tbt yearbook photos of their younger selves along with words of encouragement on their social media channels. Some celebs like Viola Davis and Stan Lee even surprised and delighted fans on Twitter by responding to people’s posts about being disheartened or discouraged. Fans were ecstatic to receive such positive words from their idols about never giving up on themselves or their dreams.

We even launched a SnapChat Lens so fans could create an 80’s style #tbt yearbook photo of themselves.
